Hi, I'm Lucy
With words, paint and whimsical craft I seek to capture the echoes of fairy tales and call to the story within each of us.
As a traditional artist working primarily in watercolor and pen I strive to create artwork that is whimsical and timeless, a gentle portal to places you may not have been, but that your heart knows well. I believe there is magic woven into everything and that it is through art and stories that we can rekindle an acknowledgement of the wonder we've always known was there.

What inspires me?
I have always had a vivid imagination and early on I practiced any art form I could to give my stories form. Singing enchantments to bring the rain, keeping my own hand drawn nature journal, writing the vivid dreams that then and still fill my sleeping mind.
By collage I still couldn't keep to one medium, so I majored in sculpture to keep all the options open. I obtained my BFA from Arizona State University in 2016
I have focused on refining an illustrative style since relocating to Kansas City in 2022. I am endlessly inspired by the golden age of illustration and the inherent unquestioned magic therein.
I want to remind people of magic and stories. I want others to feel like my paintings are portals the crack though the hard shell of survival and bring them to a time when they were filled with wonder and believed in magic
Why Luna?
Luna is my fairy alias, She marches along the forest floor making friends with all who dwell there. When happening upon a fairy abode she provides the resident with paper and asks for a message they would like to send to the friends of the Fae: humans who choose to notice and listen. The letters are then tucked in a postage stamp satchel and whisked off to the human land for all those who wish to receive one.
