Winter’s Sacred Stillness
The first snow fell heavy on the forest. All through the night the howling of Father Winter’s hounds swept through the trees. A thick shroud of snowfall warned all to stay in by the hearth till the passing of the storm.
As the embers burned down the night turned to silence and all slumbered in its hold.
As the last dreamy escapades come to an end all awake to a winter wonderland. Golden sunlight pushes through the frosted trees and all glistens with sacred stillness.
Eight original watercolors done in December 2023. The first collection including drawn portions as well as an accompanying “word painting”. All three window paintings went together to a story tellers guild.
